1.  ALL of our auctions are accepted on a commission basis.  The commission is based upon the quality and quantity of the items to be dispersed.  Commissions can range from 10 percent to 35 percent.  In addition, there is an auction setup fee as well as cashier and clerk fees.  Total fees are deducted from the proceeds of the auction.  

2.  IN MOST INSTANCES, ADVERTISING IS PAID BY THE SELLER.   Advertising must be submitted 2 weeks prior to the date of the scheduled auction.  We advertise, locally, in the The Advertiser and Lancaster Eagle Gazette.  We offer FREE advertising on our web site and online Auction Zip.  We also advertise with the Columbus Dispatch and other publications upon request.  Because we are under contract with all of these entities, we get a better rate for your advertising needs.  Advertising expenses are deducted from the proceeds of the auction.

3.  YEARLY CONSIGNMENT AUCTIONS.  To our knowledge, we are the only auction service, in Fairfield County, to offer FOUR consignment auctions on a yearly basis.  Our spring, summer, fall and winter auctions are held at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. Commission varies on the consignments.  Consignors are asked to pay a commission, a portion of the advertising and building rent so as to make it much more affordable for each individual.  These auctions have always been a HUGE success.  If you are interested, in this type of auction, please do not wait until the last minute.  These auctions fill very quickly.  All seller's expenses are deducted from the proceeds of the auction.

4.  BUYER'S PREMIUM AUCTIONS.  Beginning in 2009, we will be offering this type of auction.  This service will be available for all type of auctions when both the auctioneer and seller deem appropriate.  For more information, please contact us.  

5.  AUCTION STORAGE.   Storage is offered on all of our auctions.  There is no out-of-pocket expense for storage fees.  Storage fees are included in the commission.  

6.  PAYMENT TO SELLER.   Estate auctions are settled the day of the sale.  There is no waiting for a check.  Consignment auctions are settled by the Wednesday following the sale.  Proceeds can either be mailed or picked up.  Business liquidations are settled when all checks have cleared the bank (14 days) .  Government policies are adhered to by the auctioneer.

7.  APPRAISALS.   We offer professional appraisals for all of your insurance needs and court appointed estate probate.  We DO NOT offer this service for Domestic Relations Court.    First hour $125.00.  Any and all subsequent hours $35.00 per hour.  Most often, insurance companies reimburse the insured for these services.  As for probate, the executor can claim reimbursement from the estate.
